Wike declares “Bobrisky” wanted, placed N30million

Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike has declared Bobrisky wanted and placed a whopping sum of N30million as a gift on who can lead to his arrest.

Bobrisky is a notorious criminal that has been terrorizing Gokana Local Government Area in Rivers State.

Governor Wike said the bounty extends to information on killers of a Director with the Rivers State Government during the Choba crisis.

Wike use the occasion to ban all youth groups in Rivers, lamenting that the youth groups have all been hijacked by cultists in the state for their selfish and evil agenda.

The governor who spoke on Thursday at the government House, Port Harcourt, Rivers State handed over 40 patrol vans fitted with communication gadgets to the Federal Special Anti-Robbery Squad (FSARS), C4I, Police Anti-Kidnapping Unit.

Also among those to benefit from the governor’s gesture were Police Anti-Cultism Unit, Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), and Eagle Crime.

The youth groups officially banned by the governor include the Ikwerre Youth Movement (IYM), Ogoni Youth Movement (OYM), Bonny Youth Assembly (BYA), and Ekpeye Youth Federation (EYF), and others.

The governor also echoed that his administration has resolved to tackle insecurity and do everything necessary to protect lives and property.

However, he went further to announce that the Rivers State Government will establish a Trust Fund to care for the families of policemen who lose their lives while fighting crime in the state.

“Rivers State Government is fully prepared and will do everything required by the law to protect lives and property.

“Without the protection of lives and property, there will be no governance and development”, wike added.

The governor has also send the names of lecturers in University of Port Harcourt to DSS for investigation. Promising that any of them that is linked up to cultism will be dealt with.

Wike declared his administration’s readiness to increase support to the security agencies because of the successes recorded by Operation Sting.

He added; “Anybody operating under a youth body henceforth will be arrested by security agencies.

“Before you contest for any election for youth leadership, your names must be sent to the DSS and Police for screening. If they are cultists, we will not allow them to contest or operate in the state”, he said.

This state must be a safe haven for people doing businesses here and the occupants. The governor declared.
