It will be recalled that Reverend Father Ejike Mbaka of the Adoration Ministry, Enugu, predicted that the winner of the governorship election in Imo State will be Sen, Hope Uzodinma.
Mbaka who spoke during the December 2018 harvest and bazaar celebration at his Adoration Ground in Emene, Enugu State said the governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in the State, Senator Hope Uzodinma will win.
The senator who contested for the Gubernatorial seat in Imo State gave N2 million during the event.
Mbaka’s preferred candidate Sen. Hope Uzodinma who is a serving senator, decamped from PDP to APC to contest for the office of governor in Imo State failed to clinch onto a contestable position. He took 4th position with just 98,458 votes only while Rt. Hon. Emeka Ihedioha coast home to victory with 273,404 votes to defeat his strong contender who happens to be governor Rochas Okorocha’s in-law, Mr Uche Nwosu of the Action Alliance (AA) who scored 190,364 votes and took 2nd position
The 3rd in the contest was Mr Ifeanyi Araraume of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), a former senator who had 114,676 votes.
Hope Uzodinma’s rejection and defeat may be attribute to his non acceptance by the main faction of the party (APC) controlled by the governor, Rochas Okorocha who has been battling with the National leadership of the Party; Adams Oshomole.
