The National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, Comrade Adams Oshiomhole, has refused to comment on the protest calling for his removal as the leader of the party by some party members.
The group under the aegis of Concerned All Progressives Congress also called on President Muhammadu Buhari to intervene in the operation of the party under the leadership of Oshiomhole.
It was reported that on Monday, this group of protesters stormed the National headquaters of the Party, demanding the removal of Oshiomhole as their Party Chairman.
Oshiomhole, while answering questions on Channels Television in Kaduna State on Monday, refused to talk about the protest, unlike his usual character in responding to issues with and within the Party.
However, the protest came after the party lost its governorship seat to the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP in Bayelsa State.
Recalled that the Supreme Court had sacked David Lyon of APC and declared Douye Diri governor of Bayelsa State, despite Oshiomhole threatening that nobody would be sworn-in as governor.
The apex court in his judgement revoked their powers to strike the All Progressive Congress deputy candidate for giving false information to the court.
The protester pushed the blame to Oshiomhole as the Party Leader, for allowing incompetent people to be field in as candidate of the party, Leaving qualify candidate to either joined opposition or take the Party to court.
“As the party is in crisis ahead of the governorship election in Edo and Ondo State which could lead to their defeat during the electoral process.
“Edo State chapter is threatening to suspend him, what a chairman. He should resign or be pushed out. Chieftain of APC said.
Oshiomhole refused to comment on the Protest against his removal from office as the National Chairman of APC.
