My Safety can’t be granted at Oshiomole’s house – Gov. Obaseki

Court takes final decision on Obaseki

Godwin Obaseki, Governor of Edo State, on Saturday, regretted the assault on him at the home of Adams Oshiomole, National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, APC.

Obaseki said tragically his security can’t be ensured in Oshiomole’s country home.

The Governor, Oba of Lagos, Oba Rilwan Akiolu, Edo Deputy Governor, Hon Philip Shaibu and a few dignitaries were pelted with stones by certain hooligans at Oshiomole’s Iyamho living arrangement in Edo State.

Responding to the episode, Obaseki said that he would keep on pursuing tranquil goals of whatever difference that exists in the APC.

Talking to the newsmen after leaving Oshiomole’s residence, Obaseki stated: “It is truly terrible that we can’t have a sense of security at the place of our national chairman.

“I am not sure that if I went to the house of the National Chairman of the People’s Democractic Party, they will attack me the way they did in the house of our chairman.

“It is really unfortunate that thing has degenerated to this extent but we will continue to pursue peace and we cannot afford to lose the gains of the last three years”.
