1. Shiites Suspend Protest Over El-Zakzaky’s Detention

The Islamic Movement of Nigeria (IMN) also known as Shiites on Wednesday had announced the suspension of its protest temporarily.

It will be recalled that movement has constantly protested for the continued detention of its leader, Sheikh Ibraheem El-Zakzaky.

2. Buhari Reveals when he will Assigned Ministerial portfolios

President Muhammadu Buhari, has revealed when he will assign portfolios to his ministerial nominees when the cabinet is officially inaugurated.

Daily Tells reports that Buhari’s 43 ministerial nominees were screened and confirmed by the 9th assembly under the leadership of Senate President, Ahmad Lawan. The screening was almost a bow and go process without any reasonable input fro questioning from the senators.

3.  Atiku vs Buhari: Senior Official Confirms President’s WAEC Result

The West African Examination Council (WAEC) senior official has confirmed the authenticity of the copy of the University of Cambridge school certificate tendered by President Buhari on Tuesday to the court.


4. Senator Ifeanyi Uba Made the List of Top 29 Debtors as AMCON Releases Names

The Assets Management Corporation of Nigeria (AMCON) has published the names of its top 20 debtors and Senator Ifeanyi has made the list.

According to the AMCON, the top debtors are owing 67% of the N5 trillion debt.

5.Senate Committee Chairmen for the 9th Assembly

The Senate President Ahmad Lawan on Tuesday, 30th July during plenary announced the chairmen and vice-chairmen of Standing Committees of the Senate.

Lawan made the announcement before the Senators proceeded on their annual recess.


6. Recruitment: Police Shortlist Candidates, fix 3rd August For Aptitude Test

The Police Service Commission has shortlisted 80,724 names of people following the screening exercise which was coordinated all over the states in Nigeria.

In a statement issued by PSC spokesperson, Ikechukwu Ani, stated that candidates shortlisted after the screening would sit for an aptitude test on August, 3rd, 2019 across the country.

The west African Examination Council WAEC has made it more easier and simpler now, you can now check your result with your phone using SMS

The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) has released the results of May/June WASSCE 2019 and you can check your result on phone via SMS.

More than 1.6 million candidates across Nigeria participated for the exam this year.
