Meet the new Emir of kano, Aminu Ado Bayero

Alhaji Aminu Ado Bayero is the 15th Emir of Kano emirates ascended to the throne on 9th of March 2020.

Bayero is the second son of the former Emir of Kano, late Alhaji Dr. Ado Abdullahi Bayero whose his successor Muhammad Sanusi 11 took over from in 2014.

Bayero is from the Fulani Sullubawa clan.

Who is Emir of Kano

His father, Late Alhaji Ado Abdullahi Bayero was the 13th Emir of kano.

The Emir, Aminu Ado Bayero is from the Fulani Sullubawa clan in Kano State

Alhaji Aminu Ado Bayero until his elevation to the throne as Emir of emirate council, he was the Emir of Bichi, which is one of the new four emirates carved out of Kano Emirate by Ganduje’s administration.

Educations:

Aminu Bayero attended Kofar Kudu Primary School and Government Secondary School all in Birnin Kudu, kano State.

He attended Bayero University Kano and studied mass communication.

He also went to Flying College, Oakland, California, US, before undergoing his National Youth Service Corps at the Nigeria Television Authority, Makurdi.

Bayero had workedat Kabo Air as a public relations officer, before becoming a flight engineer.

In 1990, Bayero was appointed Dan Majen Kano and district head of Dala, and  he also was promoted to Dan Buram.

In 1992, he was promoted to Turakin Kano and to Sarkin Dawakin Tsakar Gida in 2000.

He had served as the chairman of the Kano emirate durbar committee.

In 2014, the former emir of Kano, Muhammad Sanusi II who was dethroned for nonchalant attitued promoted him to Wamban Kano.

Bayero was transferred from Dala to Kano municipal, succeeding Galadiman Kano, Alhaji Tijani Hashim as the district head.

However, in 2019, he was appointed emir of Bichi by governor Abdullahi Ganduje.
