Biafra: Nnamdi Kanu revealed how he escaped from Nigeria

The leader of Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, Nnamdi Kanu has described how he escaped from Nigeria when Military stormed his home.

Kanu explained how he managed to escape when military “Operation Python Dance II” stormed his residence in Afaraukwu, Umuahia, Abia state.

Kanu said he passed through Azumiri – the coastal area of Abia State and found his way through to the Republic of Benin, Togo, Ghana, Ivory Coast before landing in Senegal.

He said he sustained more injuries on his escaped route. Nnamdi kanu described his escaped

The IPOB leader said he moved through the creeks before he eventually landed in the Republic of Benin.

He said it took him more than a year before he found his way into Israel, describing it as the toughest moment of his life.

He said he was able to rent a boat at the coastal region of Azumini in Abia state where he  boarded to the the coastal region of Republic of Benin.

Kanu quoted: “For 14 days we travelled in dangerous seas in a small boat with an outboard motor.

“The Atlantic off that coast is heavy, stormy, and treacherous; on more than one occasion waves threatened to swamp our little craft.

“I was still gravely injured and in need of constant medical attention. At one point we put ashore to find ice to keep the medication I needed chilled. It was a dangerous time. I stayed hidden in a room while my companions went foraging for supplies.

The leader of IPOB continue to explain how he journeyed from Benin to Israel.

“From Benin, I travelled by road to Senegal, almost 2,000 kilometres.

“In Senegal I was able to make arrangements to travel to Israel. None of these journeys was easy.

“I was still in pain and the threat from Nigerian agents abroad never went away. When we stopped to rest on the road, I couldn’t go out.

“My world was shrunk to a room with a window, and sometimes not even that. I might as well have been in prison.

Daily Tells understands that Nnamdi Kanu is planing for the burial of her mother who passed died since 30th August.

He had send a message to Nigerian government that he will come back to answer to the court issue against him but he want the government to grant his safety.

Taking views and the public, many believed that Nnamdi is using the excuses to attend the mother’s burial.
