The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), has deleted the Elections Results for Bayelsa State hours after the Supreme Court ruling.
This report was confirmed by our technical unit that the results for the Bayelsa elections held in November 2019 cannot be found on the INEC database (Website).
As at the time of filing this report on Friday morning Daily Tells Nigeria confirmed that the results of the polls held just three months ago were unavailable.
There are only results for 29 states currently available on INEC’s website.
David Lyon was declared winner of the elections by polling 352,552 votes, while Douye Diri got 143,172.
However, the Supreme Court has nullified the election of Bayelsa State David Lyon and his Deputy, Biobarakuma Degi-Eremienyo.
As the APC deputy candidate gave false information on his educational qualification.
The sack came 24 hours to inauguration of APC governor-elect, David Lyon.
Justice Mary Odili’s led panel on Thursday, voided the joint ticket of Lyon and Degi-Eremienyo over certificate forgery.
The apex court set aside their participation in the governorship election.
And, also ordered INEC to issue a Certificate of Return to Diri.
Meanwhile, information reaching us has it that the APC is going on protest to obstruct the implementation of the Supreme court verdict.
The National Chairman of All Progressive Congress has vowed that nobody will be sworn in as governor today.
