Hon. Frank Archibong Receives NULGE National Leadership

Akwa Ibom State Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Mr. Frank Archibong, Today, Wednesday, 28th September, 2021, received the National Leadership of the Nigeria Union of Local Government Employees ( NULGE).

National President of NULGE, Comrade Akeem Ambali, commended the State Governor, Mr. Udom Gabriel Emmanuel for providing conducive environment for workers, ensuring prompt payment of salaries and grants, developing and making the State peaceful for indigenes and investors.

Comrade Ambali, gave the commendation on Wednesday, when the leadership of the union visited the Commissioner.

“It is glaring that the Governor of Akwa Ibom State, Mr. Udom Emmanuel, has performed creditably and has stabilized the system with massive infrastructural development across the State”. Akeem He said.

State Chairman of NULGE, Comrade Anestina Iweh, also appreciated the Governor for living up to workers expectation, describing him as a “Fair leader and Workers friendly Governor”.

The Commissioner, Mr. Archibong, in his response, harped on the need to unbundle the revenue sharing formula from what is currently obtained, stating that it will enhanced meaningful development across the States and Local Government levels.

Mr. Archibong, reassured of the State government’s commitment and sincerity to workers welfare packages.

The Visit had in attendance, Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Elder Ini Ikie, Comrade Chukwuemeka Aguonye, General Secretary, Comrade Ayodele Emmanuel, Deputy General Secretary and other National Officers.
