Court orders MTN to pay N5 million

High court  in Abuja, has ordered MTN Nigeria to pay the sum of N5 million to Ezuku Emmanuel Anenih on illegal deductions for unsolicited caller tunes.

Ezuku Emmanuel Aneni, is a legal luminary.

Recall that on October 2014 the lawyer had sued MTN Telecommunication Service Provider for deducting money from his account illegal for unsolicited caller tunes.

Mr. Emmanuel had complained to MTN about the illegal deductions which MTN evidently acknowledged and subsequently sent him N700 as a compensation.

Mr Emmanuel dragged MTN to court in which the Chief Judge of the FCT, Justice Ishaq Bello ordered MTN to pay Mr. Emmanuel N5m for damages. He was also awarded N500,000 cost for the case by the judge.
