The Supreme Court has fixed today, Monday, to resume hearing on the case filled by Senator Ademola Adeleke to decide the authentic winner of the 2018 Osun governorship election.
The PDP governorship candidate Senator Ademola Adeleke wants the apex court to set aside the appeal court’s judgment which is in favour of Governor Gboyega Oyetola and declare him (Adeleke) winner as to rectify the position of the tribunal judgments which declared him winner.
The court’s registry had disclosed today as the day for hearing the arguments of the parties involved in the case. The court could also choose to give its ruling today.
Justice Ibrahim Muhammad Tanko, acting chief justice of Nigeria (CJN) is the presiding Judge on this case.
Daily Tells can recall that the appeal court held that the irregular composition of the election tribunal, where the judge who delivered the majority judgment, Justice Peter Obiorah, was absent in the proceedings, affected the right of the appellant to fair hearing.
