Edna Edwin receives blessings from Maternal home

It was a thing of joy as Lady Edna Edwin who is the leading Chairmanship aspirant in Nsit Ibom LGA consulted her maternal home; Ikot Udo Eba’s family in Afia Nsit Udua Nkộ, Nsit Ibom Local Government Area of Akwa Ibom State. The event which took place on Sunday 9th August, 2020 in her maternal family’s compound witnessed large turnout of elders, women, political stalwarts and youths that makes up the area.

Speaking at the event, the family head; Obong Bassey Thompson expressed a hearty welcome with great joy over the decision of their granddaughter to run for the number one position in Nsit Ibom and also thanked the Almighty God for finding their grandchild fit in her present position as one of the outstanding personalities in the state. He stated that no member of Ikot Udo Eba’s family has ever failed in any contest, and prayed for success and God’s protection upon her.


“Right from inception, no member or lineage of Ikot Udo Eba’s family has ever failed in any contest. I therefore pray for God’s protection over your life and wish you success in the upcoming poll” Obong Bassey Thompson added.

Also speaking at the event, Mr. Ime Akpan who is the overall Youth President of Nsit Ibom LGA and a member of Ikot Udo Eba’s family said that he was so excited to see their grandchild soaring so high in her political life and career, and also prayed for God to protect and see her through till success is recorded.

Speaking on behalf of the women, Mrs. Grace David Udo, a retired officer in the Nigerian Army also appreciated God for sustaining their grandchild and projecting her to the height she has attended in life. She prayed for God to give her the enablement to succeed in the upcoming Local Government election.

Mrs. Mendie Nyoh, the mother of the vibrant and the peoples’ most preferred chairmanship candidate in Nsit Ibom Local Government Area; Lady Edna Edwin, first of all thanked the Almighty God for her daughter’s political success and again thanked family members for standing by her daughter all through the years past. Mrs. Nyoh again prayed for God’s blessing and protection upon her daughter and asked God to grant her success in the forthcoming Local Government election in Nsit Ibom.

In response, the leading aspirant in Nsit Ibom Local Government chairmanship race, Lady Edna Edwin Daniel thanked the Almighty God for sustainability and the grace of God upon her life to stand before her maternal family as their grandchild. Also she thanked everyone ranging from the elders, the women, the youths and the children that makes up her maternal family; Ikot Udo Eba’s family for massive turnout.

Seeking for support from the people of Ikot Udo Eba’s family, Lady Edna pleaded with all categories of people in the area to join hands and support her political ambition in the upcoming Akwa Ibom State Local Government Election. She however promised not to disappoint them when she succeeds in her chairmanship ambition, adding that she will continue to support the family in anywhere within her capacity.

To the high point of satisfaction, the members of Ikot Udo Eba’s family jointly conferred on her a motherly blessing and prayed for her to succeed in the upcoming Local government election. They however presented some food items to their grandchild; Lady Edna Edwin who is the leading Chairmanship aspirant in Nsit Ibom Local Council poll and pledged their massive support and total solidarity.

Army Officer), Deacon William Okon Udo, Mrs. Mendie Nyoh, Mother to Lady Edna Daniel, and a host of other Elders, Youths and Women of Ikot Udodo Eba family.
