The Kano State government has replaced Muhammadu Sanusi II with the Crown Prince, Alhaji Aminu Ado Bayero as the new Emir of kano.
The Kano State Governor Umar Ganduje approved the appointment of His Highness Alhaji Aminu Ado Bayero as the 15th Emir of Kano, after the nomination of 3 prospective candidates by the Kano Emirate Kingmakers.
Aminu Bayero is replacing Muhammadu Sanusi II who was dethroned earlier today by the Kano state government.
However, Until his appointment, he was the Emir of Bichi, one of the four rival emirates created by governor Abdullahi Ganduje of Kano State.
Meanwhile the deposed Emir of Kano, Muhammadu Sanusi II has been banished to Nasarawa State.
Daily Tells Nigeria had reported, Sanusi’s removal from office, that a combined team of security operatives including men of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps as well as the Nigeria Police were deployed to the palace.

His removal was announced at a special sitting of the Kano Executive chaired bythe governor Abdullahi Ganduje.
Usman Alhaji, secretary to the state government, said the removal was with immediate effect.
“The Kano State Executive Council under the Chairmanship of His Excellency the Governor of Kano State Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje OFR has unanimously approved the immediate removal/dethronement of the Emir of Kano Emirate Muhammad Sunusi II,” Alhaji said in a statement.
“The Emir of Kano is in total disrespect to lawful instructions from the office of the state Governor and other lawful authorities, including his persistent refusal to attend official meetings and programmes organized by the Government without any lawful justification which amount to total insubordination.
