BREAKING: Funke Akindele, Husband Plead Guilty For Defiling Social Distancing Order

Funke Akindele-Bello popularly known for her role in Jenifa’s Diary has pleaded guilty for defiling the orders of the Lagos state government which had ordered Lagosians to stay at home.

This online media had reported that Funke was arrested on Sunday night alongside with her husband.

Both were arraigned this morning at Ogba Magistrate Court in Ikeja.

Both husband and wife were accused of organising a birthday party on 4 April in their residence at Amen Estate in Ibeju Lekki.

According to Attorney General of the State, Moyosore Onigbanjo, the led counsel said the couple violated Section 8 of the Lagos State Infectious Disease Regulation 2020.

Meanwhile, Funke and her husband face a jail term of one month or N100,000 fine or both if found guilty.
