The leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu, has commenced his live broadcast as promised over the banning of the Islamic Movement Organisation (IMN) Shiites.
Daily Tells reports that the broadcast of the IPOB leader commenced on Radio Biafra at exactly 7 pm Nigerian time (Biafran Time).
The broadcast had a short break at about 7:14 pm due to network issue, a situation Kanu blamed the interruption on the Nigerian government.
This online news platform had reported earlier that Kanu announced the ongoing broadcast in a tweet on the micro-blogging site, Twitter.
The IPOB leader had said: “Join me for an emergency live broadcast on Radio Biafra FM, Radio Biafra App, satellite and online.
“I will be addressing among other things, the illegal banning of Shi’a (IMN) protests and tagging them a terror group. Date: Saturday, July 27, 2019.
“Time: 7 pm Biafraland Time,” Kanu tweeted on Saturday.
Kanu stressed during the broadcast monitored by this reporter that the protest carried out members of Shiites is in the confines of the Nigerian law.
