Bar. Esse Umoh, candidate of Peoples Democratic Party has defeated Nse Ntuen of the All Progressive Congress in Essen Udim State constituency elections.
As announced by the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, Umoh polled a total of 18,999 votes to defeat his close rivalry who scored 7,108 for APC.
Meanwhile the candidate of Social Democratic Party, SDP polled 37 vote for the third position.
Recalled that the candidate of APC was a former ALGON chairman and a also a member of House of Assembly in the 5th and 6th Assembly.
Nse, defeated to APC when his principal, Chief Godswill Akpabio ‘moved’ to APC.
He formed a parallel government in the State Assembly with Hon. Idongesit Ituen, assuming the position factional Speaker when Onofiok Luke of PDP was still the Speaker of the 6th Assembly.
Bar. Umoh has been returned elected and will be sworn in as the House member, representing Essien udim State Constituency.
Barr. Esse Umoh of the Peoples Democratic Party also defeated All Progressive Congress candidate, Hon. Nse Ntuen a strong ally to Godswill Akpabio with more than 70 percent of the vote casted.
However, for the Akwa Ibom State House of Assembly, PDP scored 18,999 while APC scored 7,108 PDP defeated APC.
