The Abia State chapter of the All Progressive Congress, APC rejects Election Tribunal’s verdict that sacked Senator Orji Uzor kalu.
Orji, Chief whip of the senate was asked by the court to returned back to the polls.
The court asked the INEC to conduct elections in the areas that result were cancelled.
According to the APC in the state, the verdict of the tribunal will be appealed in the higher court.
Senator Ohuabunwa of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) approached the court and filed petition Kalu on the grounds of non-compliance with the electoral guidelines.
Delivering its judgment on Monday, Justice I.P.C Igwe said that the petitioner, Sen. Mao Ohuabunwa had proved his allegation of substantial non-compliance with the electoral guidelines.

The petitioner told the tribunal that Kalu’s declaration as the winner of the poll by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) did not comply with the provisions of the 2010 Electoral Act as amended.
However, the publicity secretary of APC in Abia, Comrade Benedict Godson while answering questions from journalist in the state capital, said the party leadership totally rejects the verdict of the tribunal.
Godson, urges Abians and the political followers of OUK to remain calm as the party will appealed the case and get justice.
While contacting the petitioner, senator Moa, said he had fought such battles with the former governor in 2015 and he his confident of victory.
He went further to say that they are ready to exposed those behind the electoral fraud in the state, that INEC lead by Professor Yakubu did the right thing but some persons messed it up, that at the right time he and his team will bring them to book for wasting their time.
