The All Progressives Congress (APC), Abia State chapter has rejected the nomination of Mr. Nwogu in NDDC Board as Presidential nominee for Niger Delta Development Commission.
The Abia chapter called for his removal as he is not fit to represent the State in the board.
The State Publicity Secretary, Comrade Benedict Godson, speaking to the newsmen in a press conference in the state capital, Umuahia, said the chapter unanimously rejected Nwogu as member of NDDC board.
He said that his rejection arose after due and thorough consultations with major stakeholders of the party leaderships in the ward, Local government and State levels.
Godson stressed that Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) was established for rapid development in oil producing areas, and the that must be fulfilled.
The publicity scribe emphasized that whosoever that must occupy the position in the board to represent the state must knows the plights of the people in the oil areas and the state (Abia), he went further to state that Nwogu is unfit for the NDDC board.
“We need a representative in that position who understands our plight.
“Even in our party level, does anybody know this man? Did he ever involved in anything throughout the election.
“He was not involved in the governorship, presidential, Senatorial, House of Representatives or even State Assembly elections.
“The Party (APC) has grown above the issue of ‘Monkey dey work baboon dey chop.’
“We request all our party members to remain calm as the leadership of the party is working very hard to correct this error.
