America gives reasons why Trump ordered Qasem Soleimani’s killing

Mike Pompeo, US Secretary of State on Friday, revealed why President Trump ordered the killing of Qasem Soleimani.

Qasem Soleimani was Iranian commander, whose Pompeo claimed that he was planning to take actions that would have killed hundreds of Americans.

Pompeo said the action was to disrupt an “imminent attack” that could have cost American lives in the Middle East region.

He said that, i can’t talk more in the public because Americans knows that the President’s decision to remove Soleimani from the battlefield saved American lives.

Pompeo said that Americans “are safer in the region” after the strike and demise of Soleimani.

However, the US secretary stressed that US intelligence community assessment had led to the President;s decision.

“The risk of doing nothing was enormous. Intelligence community made that assessment and President Trump acted decisively last night”.

Pompeo said that after the death of a US contractual worker in Iraq on December 27, “we viewed the insight stream in that discussed Soleimani’s movements in the district and the work that he was doing to put Americans further in danger.”

“What’s more, the time had come to make this move with the goal that we could upset this plot, hinder further animosity from Qasem Soleimani and the Iranian system, just as to endeavor to de-raise the circumstance,” he said.

On the warning to US residents to leave Iraq, Pompeo stated, “the explanation that we gave was suitable, that the planning was directly for that.”
