The former governorship candidate of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Edo State, Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu has been expelled from the party.
This was made known to the Public in a statement released by the Party’s state Publicity Secretary, Chris Nehikhare.
According to Nehikhare, he disclosed that Ize-Iyamu was expelled because of his constant refusal to refute his rumoured defection to the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Ize-Iyamu’s expulsion is with immediate effect, as he is banned from participating in any PDP’s activities.
The party made further explanations regarding his expulsion that he will remain expelled until he “acknowledges, accepts and addresses the issue of his decamping to APC.”
“This decision has been taken without prejudice!” He concluded.
There is an uneasy with the PDP at the moment as some of his supporters are rumoured to be persuading him to decamp to the ruling All Progressive Congress, APC.
From a reliable source, who pleaded anonymity that Pastor Ize-Iyamu will make official declaration of dumping PDP to APC.
According to the source, the there is a very powerful delegation in Abuja who are working assiduously for his official declaration to join APC.
