Nigerian Army promotes 74 officers

The Nigerian Army Council under General Buratai has approved the promotion of 74 senior officers to the ranks of Major General and Brigadier General respectively.

The promotion of the Nigerian army officers was approved on Saturday and the approved documentation was made available on Sunday to the media through the Acting Director, Army Public Relations Colonel Sagir Musa.

On the contrary a total of 31 army officers were promoted to the position of Major General, while another 43 officers were promoted to the position of Brigadier General.

The Chief of Army Staff, Lt Gen TY Buratai has congratulated the beneficiaries and urged them to redouble their efforts in the discharge of their responsibilities.
