EFCC arrest Owners of Wonder Bank in Port Harcourt

Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) the Rivers state command have arrested staff of a Wonder Bank in Port Harcourt, Rivers State.

Daily Tells understands that the 19 persons were arrested for allegedly sponsoring a Ponzi Scheme, and noticed that they have defrauded members of the scheme up to N2,000,000,000.

The suspected company floating this wonder Bank (Ponzi scheme) named this fake scheme as “Bluekey Investment Club”.

They were operating from Sonia Mall, 42 Woji Road, YKC Junction, Port Harcourt, Rivers State.

This fraudulent company was registered with the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) as a Software Development and General Contracting Firm.

The said company then allegedly moved  into an interest-yielding Ponzi Scheme with ten percent (10%) weekly returns on investment over (6) Months.

The EFCC spokesman confirmed the report in a statement in Abuja where he said: “Nineteen members of staff of the company were rounded up on Friday, August 30, 2019, in Port Harcourt.

He listed the culprits and among them are five Principal Officers: “Princess Tsaroigbara( Public Relations Officer) ; Onwusa Frances Chineze (Accountant); Naabe Gunugu( Payment Confirmation Staff), Tambari Success( Customer Service) and Anorue Maureen (Receptionist).

 The Chairman of the company: Neenwi Swanu  unavailable at the time of arrest.

EFCC said Princess Tsaroigbara, the Public Relations Officer (PRO) of the Company said that the company was into “Digital Financial and other Technological Services” and was not sure if the company was fully registered with the Security and Exchange Commission, SEC, and the Central Bank of Nigeria, CBN.

It will be recalled that the commission arrested a female cybercrime fraudster in Edo state wanted by FBI.

The acting chairman of the commission (EFCC) said he and his team are poised to curb crime in Nigeria irrespective who is involved.
