Buhari appoints Akpabio, Festus keyamo and Ita Enang into Ministry of Niger Delta Affairs

President Muhammadu Buhari has appointed former minority leader of the senate, Senator Godswill Akpabio as Minister of Niger Delta Affairs.

Festus Keyamo  who was Presidential spokesperson for 2019 election is now rewarded as Minister for state, Niger Delta Affairs.

Senator Ita Enang who was SSA on National Assembly to president as SSA for Niger Delta Affairs all into the Niger Delta Ministry Affairs.

The trio appointed by the President are all from Niger Delta and will be working together for their people from the zone as minister and as Special adviser.

Notably, all of them are Lawyers

It has not been cleared if this appointment was given because of the contributions of the trio gave to the president in his re-election.

But, is very clear is that the zone did not gave president Buhari much support for his second term bid.

Daily Tells Nigeria understands that there are a lot of reactions trailing the appointment of this ministry.

It will be recalled that Festus Keyamo was the lead counsel to EFCC prosecuting Senator Godswill Akpabio on his activities as a governor of Akwa Ibom State from 2007 to 2015 under the platform of PDP.

However, Keyamo will be reporting to Akpabio now as a junior minister under his ministry as assigned to him by the President.

Senator Ita Enang was a senator under the PDP but was denied his second term bid by Akpabio’s lead government in the state. He was substituted by Senator Bassey Albert Akpan, Enang left the party (PDP) to join the APC after the elections in 2015 and was appointed SSA on National Assembly by President Buhari.

The trio will be working with Akpabio in the same ministry
