The House of Representatives experienced rowdy session today over the call for the Kaduna State government to release Ibrahim El-zakzaky, The House of Reps in a rowdy seesion.
Hon. Linda Ikpeazu moved an amendment to a motion by Mohammed Bello (APC, Kano).
About 12 persons were reported dead after the movement protested in Abuja, on Tuesday.
A journalist from Channels Tv was killed during the protest.
On the floor of the house, Hon. Linda Ikpeazu had moved an amendment to a motion by Mohammed Bello.
Ikpeazu’s motion followed a negatived motion for the federal government to obey court order on the leader of the Islamic Movement of Nigeria.
The Speaker, Femi Gbajabimila takenthe motion twice without any clear majority and called for division of the house to allow headcount, at this point however, the house became rowdy.
Therefore, the house moved into a closed-door session to take head count and decide on what should be done.
