The former managing director of NDDC) Mr. Timi Alaibe has declared his intention to be the next governor of Bayelsa State.

Alaibe, seek to contest the elections on the platform of the peoples’ Democratic party (PDP).

It will be recalled that Alaibe is the second to declare his intention to run for the governorship race in Bayelsa under the platform of PDP.

Timi Alaibe had earlier contested for the position but did not scaled through the primaries.

Alaibe made this know to journalist that he will run a Blue Ocean Economy and invite private sector capital for a sustainable development in the state.

The ex NDDC boss obtained the intent form from the National Secretariat of his party PDP today.

The election is slated to hold in November this year.

Daily Tells understands that Alaibe will need total support of the former president, Goodluck Johnathan and the current governor before he can wins the primaries.

Alaibe, declared his ambition in Abuja, “I have had many consultations before declaring my interest. The consultations are still ongoing. He declared

“Essentially, my vision for Bayelsa state is that of a shared economic prosperity for the people.

“The vision is about the government as a social investor and the government as an enabler to invite private sector capital…”

While responding to questions from different media outfits Alaibe said that he has consulted Goodluck Johnathan and other senior stakeholders in the state.

He said that he managed 145 Local governments when he was NDDC MD, that he loves his state and want to do more for his people.

Alaibe also said that there is no need for the gridlock in Apapa port when Bayelsa state can ease that stress through a seaport.

He reaffirmed that Blue Ocean Economy is for wealth creation, that Bayelsans will access wealth in the ocean when he will bring in Ocean Economy.
