Deputy Senate President: Senator Ovie Omo-Agege “Mace-Snatching” Emerge winner

The senator representing Delta Central in Delta state, was elected the deputy senate President of the 9th Assembly. He secured 67 of the 107 votes in the election to defeat Ike Ekweremadu of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

His winning as the deputy senate President to many has been seen as a reward for thuggery from the All Progressive party.
